Mobile Art Studios @ Lookout
Starting in Summer 2023, we are pleased to host a "Mobile" Art Studios program within Lookout Sites. An Art to Go box containing 5 workshops will be brought to various tenants at Lookout. Led by a peer art instructor, sites will work on art projects each week and socialize in their own place of residence.
Art Therapy is always about the process of creating and what that means to the participant, not about the end result, therefore there is never an expectation that anyone creates something beautiful or professional.
Each week a topic is introduced and participants are given various mediums to create something. The session ends with a group discussion about the topic and what they may have processed.
Small Group sessions led by an art therapist trainees through Vancouver Art Therapy Institute
Self-directed art time in approved medium
Offered in both painting and pottery
Due to Covid we are unable to offer large groups or as drop ins, rather these sessions are on a registration basis
Registration and supply fee for eligible participants who have completed a class
