Acrylic Painting, Drawing, Gauche Painting, Mixed Media, Photography, Pottery, Printmaking, Watercolour.

Mobile Art Studios @ Lookout 

A "Mobile" Art Studios program within Lookout Sites was designed and implemented in the summer of 2023.  An Art to Go box was created by our lead peer which contained 5 workshops was brought to various guests at Lookout. Led by a peer art instructor, sites work on art projects each week and socialize in their own place of residence.

• Art Therapy is always about the process of creating and what that means to the participant, not about the end result, therefore there is never an expectation that anyone creates something beautiful or professional.

• Each week a topic is introduced and participants are given various mediums to create something. The session ends with a group discussion about the topic and what they may have processed.

• Small Group sessions led by an art therapist trainee through Vancouver Art Therapy Institute

• Self-directed art time in approved medium

• Offered in both painting and pottery

• Sessions are on a registration basis

• Registration for eligible participants who have completed a class

• Mentors are available to provide guidance or answer questions during this time

Leadership opportunities for participants who have been through classes and Open Studio may apply to become a:

* Mentor - Open Studio

* Assistant - class or workshop

* Instructor - class or workshop
