Who is eligible?

Please read this list to see if you are eligible:

 

  • Currently live in Vancouver

  • Over the age of 19

  • Identify as having a mental health condition AND currently have ongoing support from a primary or secondary care provider.  Your provider will be required to complete our Assessment Form

  • Not at risk of harming self or others

  • No severe manic episode or psychosis in the last 6 months

  • Not significantly misusing drugs or alcohol to the extent that it would impact engagement

  • Ability to participate & follow instructions in a group setting & follow our guidelines for participatio

Service Provider Info

 

Our program is a community mental health art program and is not clinical. 

We are minimally staffed and do not provide one to one service or full-time supervision.

We require each applicant to currently have on-going or regular support from a primary or secondary care provider.

Individuals must be able to communicate respectfully with staff and other participants, be relatively independent and individually responsible while at The Studios, learn in a group setting and willing to adhere to The Art Studios guidelines for participation while in our safe-welcoming environment.

Once we receive online registration, we will follow-up with you to request a completed Assessment Form. 

 

*Your client will not be accepted if this form is not completed fully.

 

*Your client must be seeing you regularly in order to be accepted in our program.

When can I apply?

We will accept new applicant registration before each semester. Note, we do not keep an ongoing Waitlist.

Our Spring new applicant registration is now full Our next  intake will be for our Fall Semester. 

How do I apply?

Step 1 - You may self-register or have your mental health professional assist you

**Register online for Orientation

Step 2 - We will reach out to your mental health professional to complete our Assessment Form. This does not guarantee acceptance to our program.

Step 3 - We will notify you once you are confirmed for our Orientation session

What is Orientation?

 

You will be welcomed and introduced to our team and volunteers and will learn about the Studio and how to be a part of our community. 

This provides you with the opportunity to see if you are interested in joining us and if it will be a good fit.

New Applicants accepted to the program may register for a beginner class (*This is a pre-requirement for entry).

Spring Semester is (May - July) 2022

Fall Semester is (September - December) 2022
